Caddie Shack, formerly known as the Snack Shack, has been a local landmark and a popular destination for decades. Legend has it, that route 7 was built so that stagecoaches could stop at the Snack Shack. This may be an exaggeration, but the long-standing eatery (earlier known as The Red Apple) has been welcoming hungry travelers for a good portion of the 20th century and beyond. In the Mid-1990’s the modest building was replaced by a larger log structure. A miniature golf course and batting cages were also added. Most recently, the Snack Shack changed hands and was renamed Caddie Shack!
